Ever tried Fondue?

So I went on to Amazon.com and found a fondue pot by Circulon it was on a superduper sale and so got it for about 1/3 its usual price. Unfortunately they no longer make this pot but you might be able to find it on ebay.
Anyway I also looked up cookbooks and found the book linked to here. What a fabulous book full of not only all kinds of fondue recipes but also the history of fondue what types of meat cuts, cheese and breads work best. It also has a hot pot section. And it also gave detailed instructions on how to fondue and me as a total beginner it was invaluable. I bought a couple fo other books but int eh end got rid of them this book had so many great recipes plus all the other info a fondue beginner could need I
never needed the other books. So once I got my fondue pots, I found a metal pot for hot oil fondue and got a second
circulon through eBay so I could do all the fondue types at once cheese. oil and dessert. It was a great success and since then I've done fondue on several occasions. I can't think of a more decadent dish that is homey at the same time plus the interactive nature of fondue just makes it a real treat for everyone!
Also even though that one restaurant closed I know in the Bay Area there are at least two other great fondue optionsif you are not courageous enough to try and make it yourself:
Matterhorn is a traditional one shot location on Van Ness and is great.
The Melting Pot is a small chain of fondue places throughout the country.
Fondue restaruants are not cheap it is an expensive meal to make so it is a really a special occasion kind of place. My marvelous friends humored me and a bunch of us went to the Melting Pot in Marin for my bachlorette evening we had a blast and their bar is also full of all kinds of fun mixed drink combos. Boy did I get tipsy!!!
